7 Reasons To Leave Germany Forever
Ep. 062: Why I left Germany and I am never going back
Germany is about to hit the wall.
It's a sinking ship, and it angers me to watch it unfold from afar.
My home country faces significant economic, cultural, and social turmoil. On the 23rd, Germans will make a crucial decision for our nation's future. While I generally lean towards optimism, realism is necessary now. The economy is collapsing, and violence is alarmingly rising. Germany is no longer the safe and prosperous powerhouse it once was.
Let’s dive into seven pressing reasons why so many Germans have already said “Auf Wiedersehen.”

1. War on Free Speech
When 150 EU officials monitor a livestream between Elon Musk and Alice Weidel, you know free speech is in danger.
Their paranoia was evident as bureaucrats in Brussels hurried to monitor a simple conversation, terrified it might challenge the official narrative. The excuse? They feared the algorithm might “unfairly” amplify Weidel’s voice ahead of Germany’s elections. Yet, when globalist figures like George Soros or Bill Gates push their agenda through backdoor meetings with the Green Party and the corrupt mainstream media, that is totally fine.
The hypocrisy is glaring—censorship for their opponents, a free pass for their allies.

2. Ridiculous Cost of Living
Germany’s cost of living bureaucracy is becoming so absurd that even the rats in Berlin seem ready to file for housing subsidies.
In June 2023, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reported a year-over-year inflation rate of 6.4%, indicating persistent pressure on household budgets. While energy prices had skyrocketed above 20% at certain points in late 2022, they eased somewhat in early 2023—but still remained significantly higher than pre-inflation averages. Meanwhile, rents in cities like Munich and Hamburg are among the most expensive in Europe, prompting grassroots petitions and local protests against soaring housing costs. Wages simply haven’t kept up, leaving the typical German struggling to balance rent, utilities, and groceries without falling behind.
When having a normal life becomes a luxury, it’s time to admit the system is broken.
3. Surging Street Violence
When women clutch pepper spray like a fashion accessory, you know a country is in trouble. 761 gang rapes per year is an outrageous and unacceptable number
Migrant crime is becoming normalized. The recent murder of a 2-year-old boy in Aschaffenburg was just one in a series of migrant crimes shocking Germans. Media outlets initially glossed over the specifics, citing fears of “negative stereotypes,” until pressure from citizen groups forced them to publish the details. The sense of safety that once made Germany feel secure has vanished, replaced by a constant, low-level fear.
When citizens feel abandoned by their own government, fear becomes the new normal.
4. Perpetual Recession & Exodus of Talent
Germany's economy has become so stagnant, with three consecutive years of contraction, that even optimistic economists have sought more promising opportunities elsewhere.
In late January 2025, several mid-sized manufacturers announced plans to relocate to Poland and the Czech Republic—citing lower taxes and friendlier regulations as their main reasons. This exodus follows a year of negative growth forecasts, with small-business owners reporting crippling bureaucracy and endless fees. While the government keeps promising a “comeback,” entrepreneurs see no incentive to stick around. The true tragedy lies in the fact that Germany, once Europe's economic powerhouse, is currently losing its most talented individuals.
When the most talented individuals are leaving, it indicates that the ship is rapidly sinking.
5. Green Party “Eco-Fascism”
Caring for the environment is one thing, but turning everyday life into a Marxist green thought police is a special kind of insanity.
In 2024, the Bundestag fast-tracked a policy penalizing homeowners who fail to replace older heating systems by next winter, piling astronomical costs on ordinary families. Protests erupted in cities like Stuttgart, where middle-income homeowners claim these forced renovations are financially impossible. Officials still defended the measure, insisting sacrifices must be made for the planet—even if that means bankrupting half the country.
It’s not “saving the earth” if you destroy people’s lives in the process.
6. Failing Healthcare System
Germany’s once-envied healthcare system is cracking under the weight of its own failures.
Hospitals across the country are overwhelmed, with staff shortages leaving emergency departments unable to cope. In many hospitals, reports have highlighted critical gaps in paramedic and doctor availability, leading to dangerous delays in patient care. Six-hour waits in emergency rooms and postponed surgeries are no longer exceptions but the new normal.
When hospitals turn patients away, “healthcare” becomes nothing more than an empty promise.
7. The gender war and fourth-wave radical feminism
Germany is basically run by a leftist government with a radical feminist ideology
Every time a friend from Germany or another western country visits me in Indonesia or Thailand, they say, ‘Something’s off here—people don’t hate each other.’ They’re shocked to see how naturally men and women get along without the constant hostility they’ve grown used to at home. It’s like stepping into a world where divisive media narratives and gender ideologies simply don’t exist.
So the question becomes, why not go to a place where you are treated better and have more opportunities?
