Beyond El Nido Palawan
Ep 019: Letting Go And Keep Moving
There are times when pictures are better than phrases. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words.
Pinagbuyutan Island
The beauty of this place blew me away when I first arrived here a few years ago. El Nido, Palawan, is as close as it gets to what most people would consider paradise on earth.
Scattered islands everywhere, hidden lagoons, and white, pristine sand beaches.
I got here last Sunday and as crazy as this sounds, I came for work. My friend Helmut owns the Karuna El Nido Villas here and he just inaugurated a new Glamping hotel next door so I am going to help him with the photos for the new website. You´ll see the results in my next edition.
I took a layover flight from Manila to Cebu to Puerto Princesa and from there, a terrestrial transport
That is where I met this girl at the airport, whom I really liked. Her name is Mathel. I thought that maybe we would end up meeting again.
To be honest, I was hoping for it but that didn´t turn out to be reciprocal.
I sent her a text the following day, and after what seemed like an eternity, she finally responded—but it was clearly not from someone eager to meet up, and I will share that I was more disappointed than I would like to admit. But I resisted the urge to follow up and let go
"Letting go means to come to the realization that some people are a part of your history but not a part of your destiny."
Steve Maraboli
I have learned that when a woman is genuinely interested in meeting, she will make her intentions clear.
Instead, I focused on planning my next solo trip to Pinagbuyutan Island.
Bacuit Bay
Pinagbuyutan Island hits you with its epic limestone cliffs and electric-blue waters, feeling almost like a chunk of another planet.
The beaches here? Pure, white sand magic and waters so clear you’ll feel like you’re floating. It’s a perfect spot to chill and soak up all that pristine nature vibe.
I remember the last time a local fisherman took me there and we had fresh seafood grilled right there on the boat. No one else was there and because it is uninhabited, the island has a really remote vibe.
This time I decided to add a twist and rent a kayak and paddle an hour across the sea to get there, sort of like Robinson Crusoe but Roman Style 😂
@romanlbinder My favorite island in the world 😍 #island #pinagbuyutanisland #islandlife #beachlife #beachlifestyle #philippines #palawan #elnido
This is my next adventure so make sure to come back next week to see it unfold.
