How a 22-Year-Old Nomad Makes $15K Per Client
Ep. 055: & the 5 Biggest Mistakes Aspiring Coaches Make
What do you offer someone who’s already making $15K per client to help them achieve even more?
That was the question I asked myself when a young Swedish entrepreneur reached out to me on X a few days ago.
He’s someone who helps aspiring coaches land high-ticket clients.
At an age when most people are still figuring life out, he dropped out of college, charges $10K–$15K per client, and travels the world as a digital nomad. There’s a lot I could learn from him, but what stood out the most wasn’t just his decisiveness in business—it was how he approaches everything in life.
During our call, he was sitting in a rented studio in Barcelona because, as he put it, "I want to meet women from here, not anywhere else; I want a Spanish girl from Barcelona and get married before May." He had planned his dates meticulously, lining them up to find the best candidate, and had already informed all of them that May was the deadline.
He’s definitely the kind of person who says, "I’ll be there at 3:52," instead of "around 4." You get the picture.
You might wonder why this matters. It matters because clear goals, backed by unshakable conviction, are unstoppable.
His secret? He keeps it simple. No fancy websites, no endless courses—just conversations, action, and clarity.
But here’s the real kicker: Fasih showed me the 5 biggest mistakes aspiring coaches make that keep them broke, frustrated, and stuck. If you’re struggling to land your first $5K client, you’re likely making one of these…
But, before you do, I proudly add my newest sponsor, Nike, to the list of advertisers. Check it out!

The 5 Biggest Mistakes Aspiring Coaches Make
Mistake #1: Waiting until you feel "ready" keeps you stuck in place, preventing you from taking action and moving forward.
How many opportunities have you missed while waiting to feel “ready”?
The idea of being "ready" is comforting, but it’s often just a disguise for fear and self-doubt. Progress comes from starting messy, learning as you go, and refining along the way. Every moment you spend waiting is a moment someone else is using to take action and get ahead.
“You don’t need a perfect plan. You need action.”
What does that look like? I am glad you asked.
Start with one small step today: Pick one task or decision you’ve been putting off and take action on it immediately, even if it’s imperfect.
Set a timer for 30 minutes. Dedicate this focused time to working on something you’ve avoided, without overthinking or seeking perfection.
Commit to a deadline: Choose a specific date to launch, share, or complete your project, and hold yourself accountable to it.
Mistake #2: Hiding Behind Systems Keeps You Invisible
The best system in the world is useless if no one knows you exist.
You can’t sell to machines—you need to talk to people. Connections are what drive sales, not funnels or automation. If no one knows your name, no one buys from you. Get out there, start conversations, and sell yourself first.
Your success depends on how many people know, like, and trust you.
So, how do you step out from behind your systems and start making real connections? Here’s what you need to do:
Send 5 personalized messages today: Reach out to potential clients or collaborators with genuine, tailored messages—not copy-paste templates.
Schedule one call per day: Set a goal to have at least one conversation daily, whether it’s with a prospect, mentor, or partner.
Post your expertise publicly: Share one actionable tip or insight on social media to showcase your value and start building trust with your audience.
Websites, landing pages, and endless content won’t get you paid. Clients come from talking to people, not hiding.
Mistake #3: Chasing perfection keeps you stuck, preventing you from ever launching and making progress.
Chasing perfection is selfish—it puts your ego above helping others.
Think about it: it’s just vanity metrics disguised as “standards.” The reality is, nothing ever turns out exactly as we plan, no matter how much we prepare. By obsessing over every detail, you’re delaying the chance to make an impact and help the people who need you now.
Your Plan vs. Reality
The longer you chase perfection, the longer you delay the impact you could be making right now.
So, how do you stop perfecting and start launching?
Here’s how to take action today:
Set a “good enough” standard: Define what’s essential and let go of the rest. Focus on delivering value, not perfection.
Launch first, refine later: Commit to putting your work out there, knowing that you can only improve it based on real feedback.
Ask yourself, “What’s the next smallest step?” Take one immediate, imperfect action to keep moving forward—momentum beats perfection every time.
Mistake #4: Overloading on Courses Keeps You Stuck in Learning Mode
You think you need more knowledge, but what you really need is experience.
It’s easy to get lost in a cycle of endless consumption, convincing yourself that one more course, one more book, or one more webinar will make you “ready.” But here’s the truth: no amount of theoretical knowledge can match the lessons you’ll learn from real-world experience.
This is why it’s fair to say that many, if not most, politicians who have never worked in the real world or faced the pressures of the market are nothing short of complete idiots.
One real client will teach you more than 300 videos ever could.
So, how do you escape the endless loop of learning and start building real skills that matter? Here’s what you can do today:
Say “yes” before you feel ready: Take on a project or client even if you don’t feel 100% prepared—you’ll learn more by doing than by studying.
Create before you consume: Set a rule to produce something tangible (a blog, an offer, a service) every day before consuming any new content.
Track time-to-execution: Measure how long it takes you to act on an idea and challenge yourself to reduce that time with every new project.
If you can’t act on what you’ve learned within 24 hours, you’re wasting your time.
Mistake #5: Thinking Small Keeps You Undervalued and Underpaid
Charging peanuts attracts cheap clients and keeps you broke.
When you undervalue yourself, you’re not just hurting your income—you’re setting yourself up for frustration, burnout, and disrespect. Confidence doesn't stem from being cautious; it emerges from asserting your worth and achieving tangible outcomes.
I know this because I’ve been there. My confidence plummeted following my bankruptcy. Even though I had built a business that made $10 million in sales, losing it all shattered my belief in my worth. I spent over a year giving language lessons, charging next to nothing for my time.
It felt stupid—but in hindsight, it was part of the process of letting go and rebuilding.
What got me out of it? Writing.
I wrote every frustration, every regret, and every ounce of anger onto paper. Through that, I regained clarity—and through clarity, I found my confidence again. I realized my worth isn’t just in what I’ve achieved but in the lessons I’ve learned.
The first $10 million I built was full of mistakes, but now I’m starting over, smarter and sharper.
