Major Update 🚀 The Uncharted Road is evolving
Ep 022: What do Nomads really need?
Exciting updates are on the horizon for our newsletter, but first, let me share a slice of my current adventure as usual.
I am briefly back in Thailand, taking in the rich diversity of Bangkok before heading to Germany for a stay with my parents.
Today, I would like to take you on a vibrant tour down Yaowarat Road in Bangkok's bustling Chinatown—a sensory feast that reflects the exciting news to come.

First things First
I am excited to tell you about some great changes coming to the newsletter that will make our trip along "The Uncharted Road" even better. As we continue to explore the globe and embrace the nomadic lifestyle, it's important that the newsletter evolve too.
I came up with a few ideas on how to add more value and a curation-style touch to it.
In essence, I will still share stories but the job that I want this newsletter to do is to give you real actionable value on your nomad journey, which is something this publication was lacking.
It´s not about me; its about you and I think I have been very self-centered by reducing the content to a mere journaling series.
Starting this month, we'll dive deeper into three vital areas that impact every digital nomad:
Health: Gain insights on maintaining physical and mental wellness on the move, with practical tips for staying healthy in any environment. Being a nomad has unique challenges that I am well equipped to talk about to give you a more realistic outlook.
I want to talk about my nomad diet, how to workout with an unstable routine or finding space to meditate when things around you are just chaotic.
Lifestyle and Relationships: Find new spots to stay, from hotels to social gatherings; learn how to nurture existing relationships and build new ones; navigate the complexities of social connections across cultures.
Since building valuable relationships is such an important part of life, I want to address it from a nomad perspective as well.
Basically, it revolves around the question of how to create, maintain and improve impactful relationships as a nomad.
There are two things people often underestimate: how much low-quality relationships and locations impact our lives
Business and Freelancing: Tips on how to save money and explore job opportunities that are ideal for digital nomads.
Pass on knowledge as I acquire it for example, how to build a newsletter or other online businesses that fit a nomadic lifestyle
The idea is to focus on work that is fulfilling and also fits into a nomad schedule, like digital writing, building a newsletter or creating content for others.
Each week, we'll rotate through these themes, providing you with targeted, actionable content that aligns with the unique challenges and opportunities of the nomadic lifestyle.
From exploring new budgeting apps and fitness routines to discovering innovative ways to connect with people around the globe, we've got plenty to look forward to!
While I’m excited to introduce a variety of new features to our newsletter, I won't be adding all of them at once. Instead, I plan to gradually incorporate these elements, varying the content each week.
This approach will keep the newsletter fresh and engaging, sparking your interest with different pieces of information every time. Whether it’s a new tech tool, a hidden travel gem, or inspiring stories from fellow nomads, each issue will bring something unique to enhance your nomad experience.
Ideally, I aim to provide content that is not only inspirational but also useful and actionable.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this in the poll at the end of the newsletter.
Now let’s check out Yaowarat Road for some vivid inspiration, This place is a visual feast. Unfortunately, as a photographer, it is impossible for me to convey the many smells and sounds that accompany this place and make it unique
But I can give you a hint.
So let’s dive into Chinatown, guys!
Tuk Tuks & Yaowarat Road, Bangkok
Yaowarat Road, nestled in the heart of Bangkok's vibrant Chinatown, is a kaleidoscope of culture, cuisine, and commerce. This bustling thoroughfare, dating back to the late 18th century, teems with a captivating blend of old-world charm and modern dynamism.
Lined with ornate Chinese temples, traditional shophouses, and neon-lit signs, it's a sensory feast for explorers.
From sizzling street food stalls offering delectable dishes like crispy pork belly and steaming bowls of noodle soup to hidden gems selling exotic herbs and spices, Yaowarat Road is a gastronomic paradise.
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness."
Mark Twain
Beyond its culinary delights, the street pulses with energy, hosting lively markets, colorful processions, and spirited celebrations during festivals like Chinese New Year.
Expat Group Thailand
For those of you who want to make friends in Bangkok with other Nomads and expats, you can join vibrant group of people here with meeting every week
Last Wednesday, the meet-up was at a fancy pool rooftop bar!
Check out Bangkok Digital Nomads on Meetup here
It's a place where the past and present converge, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Bangkok's multicultural heritage.
My YouTube channel has been growing steadily, considering that I just started in March, meaning 2 months ago, I am at 500 subscribers as I write this and, at current pace, will be monetized pretty soon.
Hopefully, in the next 2 or 3 months, that will be awesome because I will be able to reinvest in better content and more remote places.
