Ask yourself: Can I realistically see myself excelling in this field? Picture being in the top 5%, or even 1%. If that vision seems out of reach, it's time to move on swiftly.
The top 1% of athletes make $50 million+ a year, while the average player earns $50,000. Top lawyers bring in $10 million+, compared to $100,000 for the average. The difference isn’t double—it’s 100 to 1000x.
This isn’t a decision to take lightly.
You need to ask this question when your mind is clear—after meditation, after reflection—not in moments of doubt or stress. Write it down: Can I become excellent at this? Ponder it. Be brutally honest with yourself. The answer will guide you.
Here’s the thing: quitting doesn’t mean giving up on yourself.

How This Clarity Helped Me Push Through the Dip
Bankruptcy was a turning point for me, and it forced some tough decisions.
I had no clue what to do next, and my thinking was impaired by self-doubt, trauma, and a relapse into substance abuse. Once I got back on my feet, I tried new things and failed. I stepped away from my passion for landscape photography, hotel photography and e-commerce, abandoning several ventures that felt like dead ends. It might sound counterintuitive, but quitting these endeavors quickly was the best decision I ever made. It was like clearing out the clutter to make room for what truly mattered: finding goals that align with my values of freedom, entrepreneurship, discipline, and ambition.
It's about cutting through the noise to focus on what genuinely makes an impact in your life.

But quitting isn’t enough. To push through the dip and emerge stronger, you need tools. You need systems.
